On 2 March 2016, at a workshop in the course of an extended FAS Collegium, the Head of FAS Anti-Cartel Department Andrey Tenishev discussed the results of monitoring cases under Articles 11, 11.1 and 16 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” and inspecting economic entities.

Upon an invitation of the Ministry of Defence, representatives of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) took part in the Conference on “Issues of concern in providing quality military products and avenues to solve them”.

On 20 February 2016, Moscow Arbitration Court upheld a determination on imposing a fine upon “Moscow State University of Railway Engineering” (MIIT) Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education. MIIT is held administratively liable for violating the antimonopoly law and fined 5.75 million RUB.

A new, No. 17 issue of the research-to-practice electronic journal of the Federal Antimonopoly Service: “Russian Competition Law and Economy” includes papers written by representatives of the antimonopoly authority and Russian universities on particular aspects of antimonopoly regulation in different sectors of the economy.

FAS Presidium approved the explanations on agreements in innovative and hi-tech sectors.

On 18 February 2016 the Head of the Fiscal Control Department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia), Vladimir Mishelovin, took part in the “Independent Brewing, Cider- and Mead-Making in Russia” All-Russian Conference.

The 9th Arbitration Appeal Court dismissed a claim of the “Federal Centre for Pricing in Construction and Construction Materials Industry” Federal Autonomous Institution (“FTsTsS”) to suspend a decision and determination issued by the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia).
