FAS takes part in the meetings of OECD Competition Committee and its Working Groups
On 13 - 17 June 2016, OECD Competition Committee and its Working Groupshave meetings in Paris (France).A delegation of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) led by the Head of FAS Igor Artemiev, also included his Deputies Andrey Tsyganov and Alexey Dotsenko, as well as representatives of FAS Department for International Economic Cooperation.
Participants are discussing breakthrough innovations in legal services, the national specifics of merger considerations, settlements in competition cases as well as loyalty discounts. They are also looking into a new version of OECD Recommendations on public procurement, OECD methodological guidelines for evaluating the impact of normative legal regulation on competition and analyzing the Market Analysis Procedure presented by Mexico Competition Authority.
On 15 June 2016, the Head of FAS Igor Artemiev gave a report to the OECD Competition Committee on developing antimonopoly law and competition policy in the Russian Federation.
Another key event is a joint session of No.3 Working Group on cooperation and enforcement of OECD Competition Committee and the Working Group on countering corruption in transnationalbusiness deals, to discuss cooperation between the antimonopoly and enforcement bodies, with Deputy Head of FAS Andrey Tsyganov presenting Russian experience of cooperation between the competition authority and the law enforcement bodies.
