The first session of the Research-and-Methodology Council at the Antimonopoly Service
The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) held the first meeting of its Research-and-Methodology Councilof educational institutions and Departments of competition law. The Council comprises representatives of FAS, the Heads of educational and research organizations, Competition Law and Antimonopoly Regulation Departments.
The agenda included establishing common educational programme on competition law and antimonopoly regulation. Experts believe that a basic approach for specialist training should be developed in Russia since so far Russian universities instruct students following their own individual programmes.
Deputy Head of FAS Sergey Puzyrevskiy presented to the Council a BA educational programme in “Competition Law” for lawyers.
Explanations were given on enforcement of the antimonopoly law due to its reforms.
The Head of FAS Legal Department, Artem Molchanov, invited the Council to take part in determining the most relevant issues to draft explanations with regard to the antimonopoly law.
FAS Research-and-Methodology Councilalso plans to devisea programme on antimonopoly regulation for the universities that train economists and specialists in public and municipal administration.
Next time the Council will meet in November 2016 in Saratov.
