FAS abolished several orders of the Federal Tariff Service
FAS issued an Order abolishing some orders of the Federal Tariff Service, regulating the issues of considering disputes and disagreements between Regional Energy Commissions and regulated organizations.
The orders regulated the administrative procedures (actions) in the course of the Federal Tariff Service rendering public services on considering disputes and disagreements in the field of state regulation of prices (tariffs) in the electric power industry, heating supply, the utilities sector and natural monopolies.
According to the Head of FAS Regional Tariff Regulation, Yulia Yudina, the orders are abolished because the powers for prejudicial dispute consideration in the statutory areas are transferred from the abolished Federal Tariff Service to FAS. The state functions for considering disputes and disagreements exclude the Ministry of Economic Development from the list of functions on state services. Abolishing the Regulations will not create a gap in legal regulation because the current Decrees of the Government of the Russian Federation establish the procedures for settlement of disputes and discrepancies in the regulated fields.
