FAS drafted a Memorandum of Understanding with Iranian competition authority
On 12 August 2016, Deputy Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) Anatoly Golomolzin had a meeting with a delegation from Iran led by the Head of the General Inspection Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Aga Mohammadi Mansur, and his Deputy on Legal and Judicial Issues, Mr. Muhammad Hussein Musapur Bardsiri.
The delegation of the General Inspection Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran also comprised Deputy Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Moscow, Mr. Ahmad Heidaryan, and a counsel to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Moscow, Mr. Hassan Saleh Madj.
Anatoly Golomolzin thanked Iranian representatives for their interest towards developing cooperation between competition authorities and outlined the main areas of work of the antimonopoly authority and the latest changes in its structure.
Deputy Head of FAS discussed the efforts of the Headquarters on Joint Investigations of Violations of the Antimonopoly on the Markets of the CIS Member-States, the work under the frame of the international Working Groups on oil products, roaming, etc. Information was presented on international FAS cooperation at the bilateral basis (with more 30 countries) and on the multilateral basis, particularly, EAEU (the Eurasian Economic Union) and BRICS.
The parties exchanged draft Memorandums of Understanding and confirmed the readiness to agree upon the texts in the near future and prepare the documents for singing.
Anatoly Golomolzin invited Iranian delegated to take part in the international event «The Russian Competition Week» at the end of September 2016 in Moscow region. The Russian party was invited to visit Iran to further discuss cooperation between the two agencies.
