Gasoline cartel participants shall pay 129 million RUB fine

Based on the results of investigating an administrative case, Crimea OFAS held administratively liable and fined five largest Crimean oil traders (“Kedr” Ltd., “Krym Oil” Ltd., “Retail Yug” Ltd., “TES” Trading House” Ltd., “Kompania Neftetdaiding” JSC) 129 million RUBfor violating Clause 1 Part 1 Article 11 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”.

Monitoring retail and wholesale prices for light oil products showed that prices for gasoline, grades A-92, A-95, and diesel fuel at refueling stations in Crimea went up simultaneously. Prices for all gasoline grades and diesel fuel increased by the same value, regardless of a supplier from whom oil products were purchased, the ex-works prices and company’s own costs. Investigating fuel companies OFAS established the fact of the cartel.
