Actions of the Kirov Regional Tariff Service increased the tariff burden upon consumers of electric power services

Exercising its control functions, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) exposed unlawful tariff-setting for electric power transmission services in the Kirov region with regard to the “Regional Grid Distribution Company” Ltd.

FAS Department for Regional Tariff with support of the “System Operator of the Unified Entergy System” JSC established that the regulated organization operates via distribution devices that are integral elements of electric power stations of “T Plus” PJSC: Kirov Thermal Power Plant-5, Kirov Thermal Power Plant-4, and Kirov Thermal Power Plant-1.

Thus, there is double expenses counting, leading to additional tariff burden upon electric power consumers.

According to Deputy Head of FAS Department for Regional Tariff Regulation, Evgeny Kiselev, consumers were obligated twice to cover the expenses for maintaining electric power plant facilities.
