FAS amendments to No. 61-FZ Federal Law are aimed at eliminating legal uncertainties, conceptual inconsistencies and strengthen control over prices for vital drugs at all stages of sale

The proposals of the antimonopoly body are designed to eliminate legal uncertainty when estimating VAT setting ex-works prices from the list of vital and essential drugs, unify the conceptual framework of the law and determine the authority that will control application of prices for vital and essential products by holders and owners of drug registration certificates.

“The amendments are aimed at removing contradictions between current law and the practice of setting ex-works prices for vital and essential medicinal drugs, and at establishing control over the legislative requirements on observing the pricing procedures by manufacturers”, pointed out Deputy Head of FAS Department for Control over Social Sphere and Trade, Nadezhda Sharavskaya.

The draft federal law is undergoing the procedure for estimating its possible regulatory impact. The text of the draft law can be found on the Federal portal of draft normative legal acts.
