Court confirmed that the fee parking in Volgograd airport was unreasonably overrated
Arbitration Court of the Volgograd Region confirmed legitimacy of the decision issued by Volgograd OFAS to recognize that payment for the services of short-term parking at Volgograd airport (16 - 60 minutes) was excessive.
Earlier OFAS found that “NOVAPORT Trading” Ltd. violated the antimonopoly law. The company fixed monopolistically high price for the short-term parking service at Volgograd airport (16 - 60 minutes upon entry) which infringed the interests of consumers at large.
The payment for the services of short-term parking at Volgograd airport is 150 Rub for 45 minutes of the first hour from the moment of entry (16 - 60 minutes) - 3.33 RUB per minute). At the same time the payment for the second hour is 100 RUB (1.67 RUB per minute) against the same costs. Therefore, the fee for the period from the 16th to the 60th minute of the first hour was recognized unreasonably excessive.
“NOVAPORT Trading” Ltd. disagreed with the decision of the antimonopoly authority and filed a lawsuit to the Arbitration Court of the Volgograd Region to invalidate it.
On 12 January 2017, the Arbitration Court of the Volgograd Region announced the substantive provisions of the ruling: the claim of “NOVAPORT Trading” Ltd. is fully dismissed.
