FAS informed France Chamber of Commerce and Industry on FAS initiatives in parallel import and forced licensing of medicinal drugs

FAS organized a meeting with representatives of the Health Care Committee of France Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Attendees included Deputy Head of FAS Andrey Kashevarov, Head of FAS Department for Control over Social Sphere and Trade, Timophey Nizhegorodtsev, and representatives of FAS Departments for International Economic Cooperation and for Control over Advertising and Unfair Competition.

Members of the Health Care Committee of FranceChamber of Commerce andIndustry were informed about the FAS position on parallel import in the Eurasian Economic Union and the procedure for importing medicinal drugs.

The parties also discussed the issues of issuing permits by the Government of the Russian Federation for generic patent–protected drugs within consent of the patent holders. Public hearings on the relevant draft law have been finalized recently.

FAS representatives answered questions from members of the Healthcare Committee of FranceChamber of Commerce andIndustry and informed on their readiness to pursue an open dialogue on observing the antimonopoly law in the Russian Federation.
