With the beginning of a new student semester, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) renewed tours for students and schoolchildren.

February turned out to be a student month with good reason. The antimonopoly authority opened its doors for 108 students from Financial University at the Government of the Russian Federation and its Kaluga branch, students of economics from RUDN University, students of Economic Business-College and Modern Technologies College as well as 20 high-school pupils from No. 630 Moscow school.

Students and schoolchildren were lectured about FAS, its objectives and the history of antimonopoly regulation by Deputy Heads of FAS Rachik Petrosyan and Andrey Kashevarov. Deputy Head of FAS Department for Control over Advertising and Unfair Competition, Tatiana Nikitina informed future marketers of applying the antimonopoly law.

Future economists, lawyers and constructors had many practical issues regarding enforcement of the law on contractual system, the fundamental principles of the antimonopoly law.

Students showed a vivid interest to a possibility of internship with FAS. They asked a lot of questions as to how to get to work at FAS, which Departments have the most demand for economists and lawyers, what tasks the specialists are facing, which resources are used by FAS staff to handle daily tasks.

Andrey Kashevarov talked to the students about the base Department – “Federal Antimonopoly Service” at the Financial University and training specialists on competition law. “Our main task today and in the near future is to implement the National Competition Development Plan, and out today’s’ students will become active participants of this programme. At the same time we have to not only protect competition but also actively develop in”, pointed out Deputy Head of FAS Andrey Kashevarov.
