FAS accepts complaints about possible competition restriction in servicing “Lenovo” equipment
FAS received a statement on violating the antimonopoly law by “Lenovo” Russian branch of “Lenovo East Europe / Asia” Ltd. and “Lenovo” authorized service centres in the course of servicing “Lenovo” electronic equipment
According to the submitted information, “Lenovo” authorized service centresgive a priority in servicing electronic equipment to the large federal retail chains (equipment sellers), which can indicate a possible anticompetitive agreement between service centres, “Lenovo East Europe / Asia” Ltd.and federal retail chains. Small and medium companies can find themselves in unequal conditions with retail chains.
Head of FAS Anti-Cartel Department, Andrey Tenishev stated: “FAS is analyzing the circumstances described in the statement and collecting additional information. Thus, FAS asks economic entities to report to FAS all must report to FAS all known information about violations of antimonopoly law when selling or servicing “Lenovo” electronic equipment”.
