The first MA students graduated in antimonopoly policy

First graduates from Voronezh State University on the programme on “Analysis, regulation and control over antimonopoly work”

On 18 March 2017, first MA students graduated from Voronezh State University (VSU) on the programme on “Analysis, regulation and control over antimonopoly work”; specialization – “Management”.

VSU jointly with Voronezh OFAS established an MA programme upon FAS instructions and announced it at the III All-Russian Research-to-Practice Conference on Competition Policy in Voronezh on 9-13 October 2013.

Student enrollment for the specialized MA Programme was in 2014, based on which 7 representatives of organizations in various fields operating in the region.

The training programme is unique and the only one in Russia.

The MA syllabus includes general academic courses (the basic and optional parts), in particular:

- corporate accounting and reporting in the management system

- organizational theory and organizational behavior

- corporate financing

- modern strategic analysis

- human resource management

- antimonopoly regulation

- control over public and municipal procurement

- analysis and regulation of marketing

- bankruptcy diagnostics

- evaluating signs of unfair competition

- international legal regulation of competition relations, administrative law

- ethics of conduct in judicial proceedings, etc.

Head of Voronezh OFAS Vladimir Rokhmistrov pointed out: “Efficiency of this format of education proved demand for the course from specialists involved in solving both economic and enforcement tasks. Training specialists under this programme, as practice shows, can be a priority in cooperation between educational institutions and the antimonopoly body”.

The demand for the MA programme is also confirmed by the fact that several students graduated diploma cum laude. “At the same time, summing up feed-back from the MA graduates, we can conclude that the programme encourages promotion of the fair competition principles in the work of entities in various  fields of the economy and enables training specialists with the necessary experience and unique knowledge, capable to efficiently solve any tasks”, stated a press-release of Voronezh OFAS.
