All works from participants of the academic “Olympic” contest are submitted
The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) announced completing Stage I of the academic “Olympic” contest on antimonopoly regulation – all applications and works of future prospective university students are submitted.
The main objective of the “Olympic” contest is to identify future specialists in the field of antimonopoly regulation and competition law among today’s high school graduates, make them aware of the importance of observing the fair competition rules. The leading Moscow and regional universities support the contest.
The submitted essays cover a variety of areas in antimonopoly regulation: from the fundamental principles of developing the antimonopoly law in Russia to the role of competition in the market economy.
Schoolchildren from 15 Russian cities took part in the contest. Gender breakdown: 66 % girls and 34 % boys. The participants showed the most interest to the topic on “The role of competition in the market economy”.
The Contest Commission started checking the works. The winners, whose essays get the highest scores, will be given advantages enrolling to prestigious Russian universities.
“We are very please with such a response to our invitation to tale part in the academic “Olympic” contest. It is nice that today’s schoolchildren have a vivid interest in competition development. Hopefully, they will be able to enroll to those universities that they see as the priority and in the future, when they master a profession of a lawyer or an economist, they will be wishing to come and work with the antimonopoly bodies”, said Head of FAS Public Relations Department, Irina Kashunina.
