For breaching the Rules on technological connection

“MRSK Siberia” PJSC applied to “Russian Railways” OJSC for technological connection to increase the maximum connected capacity.

In its turn, the company failed to duly consider the application and forward a draft contract for technological connection to the grid company within the statutory period.

Omissions by “Russian Railways” OJSC deprived “MRSK Siberia” PJSC of an opportunity to connect new electric power consumers.

The Antimonopoly Service found that “Russian Railways” OJSC violated Part 1 Article 9.21 of the Code on Administrative Violations and fined the company 250,000 RUB.

“FAS is conducting huge work to adjust relations in the field of technological connection in line with the law” said Head of FAS Department for Regulating the Electric Power Industry, Dmitry Vasiliev. “In our opinion, infringing consumer interests by natural monopolies is unacceptable”.
