“Gazprom Gazoraspredelenie Makhchkala” JSC is fined over 2.6 million RUB

Dagestan OFAS fined the company for violating the pricing procedure for technological connection to gas-distribution networks.

On 3 May, FAS Office in the Dagestan Republic (Dagestan OFAS) imposed an over 2.6 million RUB fined upon “Gazprom Gazoraspredelenie Makhchkala” JSC for abusing market dominance.

In November 2016, Dagestan antimonopoly body found that “Gazprom Gazoraspredelenie Makhchkala” JSC violated Clause 10 Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”. The company breached the pricing procedure established by regulatory acts. An OFAS press-release informs that the company independently fixed the fee for “Virazh” Building and Construction Department” Ltd. for technological connection to the gas networks of a capital construction facility at 184,341 RUB.

OFAS opened administrative proceedings against the company for violating the federal law and fined “Gazprom Gazoraspredelenie Makhchkala” JSC over 2.6 million RUB.
