Appeal Court confirmed legitimacy of a fine upon “Lukoil-Centrenefteproduct” Ltd.

Moscow Regional OFAS fined the company 50,000 RUB.

Earlier Moscow Regional OFAS opened a case against “Lukoil-Centrenefteproduct” Ltd. for violating Clause 1 Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”. The company submitted information to the antimonopoly body on average weighted prices for retail sale and procurement of motor petrol in Rub per ton rather than Rub per liter as specified in the definition given by Moscow Regional OFAS.

Upon the case investigation, the company was held administratively liable and fined 50,000 RUB. “Lukoil-Centrenefteproduct” Ltd. disagreed with the injunction and filed a lawsuit.

The Court of First Instance and the Appeal Court dismissed the claim and confirmed legitimacy and reasonableness of the injunction issued by Moscow Regional OFAS.
