Competition on the market of excise goods was discussed during “Russian Retail Week”

Head of FAS Fiscal Control Department Vladimir Mishelovin and his Deputy Natalia Isaeva were speakers at the plenary session on excise goods turnover at “Russian Retail Week”.

The discussed focused on the most pressing issues of sales of alcoholic and tobacco products, including countering illegal trade, experience and problems of applying the Unified State Automated Information System (USAIS) to alcohol in retail, the prospects of expanding use of USAIS for sale of tobacco products, regional restrictions and prohibitions.

“We are grateful to the Forum organizers for the opportunity to once again pay attention to developing competition on specific goods markets that are several important turnover restrictions. It is essential to maintain the balance between such restrictions and the right of bona fide market participants, especially in small business, to pursue economic activities and develop”, pointed out Vladimir Mishelovin.
