As a result of an anticompetitive agreement in Kineshma the tariffs for outdoor lighting went up by over 600%
On 15 June 2017, FAS found that “Investment Company” Ltd., Kineshma Urban Management Municipal Office and Kineshma Town Authority violated Clause 1 Article 16 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”.
The case was opened upon complaints from communications providers that actions of “Investment Company” Ltd., Kineshma Urban Management Municipal Office and Kineshma Town Authority had signs of violation – an oral agreement.
FAS established that a totality of actions by violations exercised in the process of concluding a lease contracts with “Investment Company” Ltd. for outdoor lighting posts in Kineshma Town Municipality with the encumbered right of sub-lease, increased the company tariffs for leasing some of the posts for over than 600%.
FAS will issue an injunction to “Investment Company” Ltd., Kineshma Urban Management Municipal Office and Kineshma Town Authority within the statutory period to restore the situation that existed prior to violating the antimonopoly law.
