In order to prevent violations of the antimonopoly law, on 30 January 2018 FAS sent a letter to its regional Offices requesting to tighten control over the current situation on the markets of oil products.

Simultaneously, the Antimonopoly Service sent a letter to large oil companies requesting to submit information to FAS regarding their planned sales volumes of motor fuels for export. The companies must submit such information by 9 February 2018.

FAS has scheduled a meeting with large fuel producers on 5 February 2018 to discuss the unfolding situation on the market.

As Deputy Head of FAS Anatoly Golomolzin emphasized, FAS is undertaking all necessary measures to prevent adverse developments on the oil products market.

“There are no preconditions for growth of prices for motor fuels”, said Anatoly Golomolzin.
