COURT SUPPORTED FAS IN A CASE ON COLLUSION BETWEEN COMPUTER SUPPLIERS

The Court of First Instance confirmed legitimacy of the decision of the antimonopoly body regarding “Business Computers Group” Ltd., “AMI_NETWORK” Ltd., “CROC Incorporated” CJSC, “PK Aquarius” Ltd., “Superwave Group” Ltd., “Hewlett-Packard” CJSCand “National Computer Corporation” Ltd.

 

In August 2017 FAS found that these computer suppliers concluded and implemented anticompetitive agreements on maintaining the initial maximum prices at tenders in 2016 for the needs of “Information City” Moscow State Budgetary Enterprise, the Federal State Statistics Service, the “Federal Informatization Centre at the Central Electoral Committee of the Russian Federation” Federal State-Owned Enterprise and “Nornickel – Common Service Centre” Ltd.

 

Stats-Secretary, Deputy Head of FAS Andrey Tsarikovsky pointed out: “The Antimonopoly Service is investigating administrative cases against these companies. In the near future FAS will fine the participants of anticompetitive agreements. Supporting the decision of the antimonopoly authority, the Court confirmed inevitability of punishment for violating the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”.
