FAS OPENED 36 CASES UPON SIGNS OF CARTELS IN SUPPLIES OF FOOD PRODUCTS TO SCHOOLS AND DAY-CARE CENTRES

Jointly with activists and experts of the All-Russia People’s Front, FAS carried out a survey of the food supply market

On 6 February 2018, Head of FAS Anti-Cartel Department, Andrey Tenishev joined the discussion at the State Duma of the Russian Federation under the frame of the Working Group on poor-quality nutrition in social establishments.

"FAS constantly exposes cartels in supplies of food products to social institutions in Russia. 44 instructions are already sent to FAS regional Offices to verify facts exposed by specialists of the “For Fair Procurement” All-Russia People’s Front and officers of the Antimonopoly Service", said Andrey Tenishev.

Having conducted a joint survey of Russian regions to check cartelization of food services, the All-Russia People’s Front and FAS found signs of cartels in 43 regions. The total amount of procedures, won by cartel suspects reached over 130 billion RUB.
