AMOUNT OF FOREING INVESTMENTS IN SEAPORTS AND AIRPORTS: STATISTICS AND CONCLUSIONS

Apart from the fuel-and-energy complex, investments in seaports and airports of the Russian Federation are the most attractive for foreign investors among economic entities of strategic importance for national defence and state security

 

According to FAS, the total amount of foreign investments in strategic economic entities in 2015-2017, approved by the Government Commission for Foreign Investments, was $28,234 millions; of which foreign investments in seaports – $1 862 millions, in airports – $ 900 millions.

 

The Government Commission for Control over Foreign Investments in the Russian Federation:

 

- Approved 3 transactions with regard to seaports and 3 deals with airports in 2015

- Approved 3 transactions with regard to seaports and 6 deals with airports in 2016

- Approved 2 transactions with regard to seaports and 4 deals with airports in 2017.
