VITALY KOROLEV: COOPERATION WITH ERRA IS ESSENTIAL FOR FAS
ERRA unites representatives of numerous tariff regulators from different countries that allow them to exchange the best practices
The modern trends of globalization and developing digital processes can influence the specifics of energy market performance – such was the conclusion reached by the Annual General Meeting of the Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA), which is held in Sochi on 23-24 April.
“The issues of the electric power industry that we discussed and are going to discuss are common for the world community as well as for the Russian Federation”, said Deputy Head of FAS Vitaly Korolev. “It should be pointed out that such conferences offer a wonderful opportunity to experts on the electric power industry from different countries to meet and exchange ideas, experiences and opinions on the pressing issues in this field. We welcome the event participants to Sochi, the most hospitable region of Russia”.
ERRA considered and approved applications for new membership from the regulators of Palestine, Egypt, Azerbaijan and Peru.
ERRA reported on its activities, presented financial and audit reporting and outlined the strategy for developing cooperation and the Action Plan for the future period.
ERRA General Assembly will continue its sessions on 24 April 2018. Deputy Head of FAS Vitaly Korolev and Head of FAS Department for Regulating the Electric Power Industry, Dmitry Vasiliev will highlight the main areas for developing the electric power sector in the Russian Federation.
