SERGEY PUZYREVSKIY: COOPERATION BETWEEN FAS AND THE REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN ANTIMONOPOLY SERVICE WILL BREAK NEW GROUND
On 31 May 2018, in Dushanbe, Deputy Head of FAS Sergey Puzyrevskiy and Head of Tajikistan antimonopoly authority signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in the field of antimonopoly policy
The subject matter of the Memorandum is interaction between competition authorities, particularly, through exchanging experiences in investigating antimonopoly cases and through competition advocacy.
Cooperation between competition authorities of Russia and Tajikistan will continue under the frame of bilateral meetings, conferences, involvement in the work of the Interstate Council on Antimonopoly Policy (ICAP), the Headquarters on Joint Investigations of Violations of the Antimonopoly Law of the CIS Member-States, the ICAP Coordination Council on Advertising, etc.
Deputy Head of FAS Sergey Puzyrevskiy said: “We have been long working together with CIS antimonopoly authorities towards developing competition policy. The agreement signed between FAS and the State Antimonopoly Service at the Government of the Republic Tajikistan will help increase enforcement efficiency since a lot of violations have already gone beyond the borders of a single state and become cross-borde4 violations”.
Deputy Head of FAS invited representatives of Tajikistan antimonopoly authorityto take part in an international event – “Competition Week in Russia” in Sochi on 24-26 September 2018.
