FAS AND CHECHNYA SIGNED AN AGREEMENT ON COOPERATION
On behalf of the antimonopoly body the Agreement is signed by Head of FAS Igor Artemiev, on behalf of the region – by Head of the Republic of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov
The Agreement is concluded to pursue measures designed to protect competition, create conditions for efficient market performance, and conduct the state policy towards developing competition in the region.
“The Agreement will enable us to expand the cooperation horizons between the Antimonopoly Service and the Republic of Chechnya. We are prepared to give full methodological and informational support to the regional authorities in view of the National Competition Development Plan approved by the Order of the President of the Russian Federation and the State Council on Competition”, said Igor Artemiev following the event.
“Now we are going to work together to devise the “Road Map” for developing competition in the Republic of Chechnya. The efforts will be ongoing. Every year we will together analyze the selected markets and see the dynamic pattern and undertake new measures to develop competition”, pointed outHead of FAS.
Igor Artemiev and Ramzan Kadyrov also discussed opening a Department of antimonopoly and tariff regulation in Chechnya to train specialists in this field.
