FAS SIGNED A PROTOCOL ON COOPERATION WITH KOREA FAIR TRADE COMMISSION
During his visit to South Korea, Deputy Head of FAS Andrey Tsyganov had a bilateral meeting with Commissioner of Korea Fair Trade Commission, Halkuin Kim
The 17th Protocol on Cooperation was signed on 13 September 2018 in Seoul. FAS was represented by Deputy Head of FAS Andrey Tsyganov.
Deputy Head of FAS informed Mr. Kim about the changes in Russian antimonopoly law as well as the outcome of the antimonopoly investigation against “Google” and analysis of the “Bayer-Monsanto” merger.
The Korean counterpart revealed the latest about Google play store, “Qualcomm”, and possibility to apply the antimonopoly standards of South Korea to actions that fall under the copyright law, patent law and trademarks.
Andrey Tsyganov emphasized special importance and benefits of such events enabling two countries to exchange experiences on the basic areas of cooperation. As prospective further development of Russian-Korean cooperation, Deputy Head of FAS proposed to organize joint bilateral training for experts of antimonopoly bodies from Russia and Korea.
