THE DISCUSSION ON STRATEGIC DOCUMENTS DESIGNED TO FORM THE COMMON GAS, OIL AND OIL PRODUCTS MARKETS IS OVER
On 6 December 2018, Presidents of EAEU member-states signed the Programmes for establishing common EAEU gas, oil and oil products markets at a session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in St Petersburg. FAS was represented by Deputy Head of FAS Anatoly Golomolzin
The session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Councilon 6 December 2018 completed the discussion on strategic documents designed to form common markets of gas, oil and oil products. The Programmes forestablishing common EAEU gas, oil and oil products markets, signed by the Presidents, are based on the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union*, the Concept for establishing common EAEU gas market**, the Concepts for establishing common EAEU oil and oil products market ***.
Deputy Head of FAS Anatoly Golomolzin commented: “The documents formalize the norms towards developing exchange trade with gas, oil and oil products between our countries, applying market prices for these commodities, non-discriminatory access of the common markets participants to the gas, oil and oil products transportation services. The Programmes are aimed at developing competition and increasing competitiveness of companies of the energy-dependent sectors in these countries, and EAEU at the world commodities markets”.
Participants of the gas, oil and oil products markets in EAEU member-states were actively involved in drafting the Programmes.
