ROAD MAP FOR DEVELOPING COMPETITION IS DISCUSSED IN SAKHALIN
Deputy Head of FAS Alexei Dotsenko was in the Sakhalin region on a working visit. The programme included meetings with the Head of the Sakhalin Government, Chief Federal Inspector in the region and the staff of Sakhalin OFAS
Alexei Dotsenkopresented a new Head of Sakhalin Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service – Maxim Silichev – to OFAS staff and discussed with the colleagues prevention and prophylactics of antimonopoly violations as well as pursuance of the Presidential Order in the region that approved the National Plan for Developing Competition in the Russian Federation.
During the meeting with Chief Federal Inspector for the Sakhalin region, Sergey Budkin and the Head of the Sakhalin Government, Vera Scherbina, representatives of FAS Central Office and Sakhalin OFAS discussed how the Competition Development Road Map is being executed in Sakhalin.
The Road Map had to be drafted and approved by FAS before 1 December 2018.
“Sakhalin included 34 markets in its Road Map, particularly, the markets of medical services, residential housing construction, passenger transportation, animal breeding, harvesting aquatic biological resources. The antimonopoly authority is ready to provide full support to the regions in terms of developing competition on the selected markets”, emphasized Deputy Head of FAS.
Background:
Maxim Silichev has been working with the antimonopoly bodies since April 2002. His career path took him from I category specialist of the Ministry of the Russian Federation on Antimonopoly Policy and Business Support at Stavropol Regional office to Deputy Head of the Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Sakhalin region. In 2012 graduated from North Caucasus Federal University specializing in “Law” (lawyer).
