FAS APPROVED PRELIMINARY STRUCTURE OF ITS REPORTS ON THE STATE OF COMPETITION IN 2018
The main theme is the National Plan for Developing Competition in Russia as the basis for national economic development
FAS presents the Reports annually to the Government of the Russian Federation in accord with the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”.
In the first section of the report, the Antimonopoly Service once again systematizes the main factors influencing competition development.
The section on the main problems, trends and proposals for developing competition in the 18 key sectors of the economy is especially important. Thus, the Report may perform a function of disseminating information among federal and regional authorities about the best practices in the areas of their competence, and service as a source of public discussion on particular aspects of supporting competition in such areas.
The section on “Evaluating federal executive bodies” fully meets the standards of the Order of the President of the Russian Federation on the main directions of the state policy towards competition development that emphasizes that developing competition is the goal not only for FAS but also for other authorities. Evaluating federal executive bodies in the Report enables them to present their position and highlight the efforts towards developing competition in Russia.
Deputy Head of FAS Sergey Puzyrevskiy said: “The Antimonopoly Service already started drafting the 13th Report on the State and Competition. Working on it, we will hold several talks with non-government associations and interested federal executive bodies. We will also outline the results of implementing the National Competition Development Plan in 2018”.
