FAS fined the company 600,000 RUB for failure to execute the obligations on technological connection of a residential complex within the designated period

FAS received a complaint of “Regional Construction Company” Ltd. about the electric grid firm. Based on the outcome of its investigation, the antimonopoly authority exposed a failure to comply with the deadline for technological connection of power-receiving devices of a residential development of 9-storey houses.

Such actions of “NESK – Power Grids” JSC resulted in delaying houses commissioning and infringed the interests of the population.

Moreover, the power grid firm was repeatedly held administratively liable within the past year for similar violations. It is an aggravating circumstance and incurs a fine from 600,000 RUB to 1 million RUB.

The antimonopoly body fined “NESK – Power Grids” JSC 600,000 RUB for the violation. On 25 January 2019, the company transferred the fine to the federal budget.

Head of FAS Department for Regulating the Electric Power Industry, Dmitry Vasiliev, pointed out: “Our practice showed that with adopting the “forth antimonopoly package” including the amendments that such violations lead to administrative rather than antimonopoly cases, accelerated significantly solving of people’s problems whose interests are infringed”.
