Moscow OFAS opened a case against 5 procurement participants for urban improvement works in the Northern Administrative District of Moscow

The antimonopoly body exposed signs of an anticompetitive agreement between “Petrovsky Park” Ltd., “Argonavto” Managing Company” Ltd., “Argonavto” Ltd., “Vektor” Ltd. and “Master” Ltd. that was aimed at maintaining prices at 28 auctions for the right to carry out works for improving territories in the northern part of Moscow in 2016-2018.

According to preliminary estimate of Moscow OFAS, the total sum of the contracts concluded as a result of the anticompetitive agreement exceeded 90 million RUB.

Head of FAS Anti-Cartel Department, Andrey Tenishev pointed out: “Today one of the most important FAS tasks is to control national projects on 12 areas of social-and-economic development, one of which is housing and urban environment. In view of a high social significance of the goals set by the President in the national projects as well as the scope of finances allocated to achieve them, the antimonopoly authority is undertaking considerable efforts to ensure that these funds are spent most efficiently, especially in those sectors of the economy that are susceptible to cartelization”.
