VITALY KOROLEV: FAS SHALL FORM A WORKING GROUP ON DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION OF TARIFF REGULATION
The outcome of a research-to-practice workshop on tariff regulation in the course of digital transformation
“The main objectives of the Working Group are to draft regulatory acts and forms for filling in tariff decisions, and facilitate interaction between all process participants in the electronic form. It is also necessary to implement single downloading of documents and information with further unlimited use”, said Deputy Head of FAS Vitaly Korolev closing a research-to-practice workshop on Tariff Regulation in Sochi.
He emphasized the importance of collecting data in a manner enabling modeling of various situations with tariff changing by sectors of the economy. Information should also satisfy all requests, in which consumers of these data are interested.
“In the near future, the Working Group will hold its first session, and its intermediary results will be summed up at an extended workshop on tariff regulation in October 2019. Every six months we will analyze, in which direction we are moving, and undertake actions on performance improving. The most pressing issues will be discussed on videoconferences with companies and regional tariff regulators. Overall, FAS continues advancement to digitalizing tariff regulation and pursues the goals that are already outlined”, concludedVitaly Korolev.
