ANDREY TSARIKOVSKY DISCUSSED DIGITAL MARKETS REGULATION WITH INTERNATIONAL EXPERTS

Report on BRICS digital economy will be presented in September 2019

Opening the “Antimonopoly regulation for digital economy in the interests of BRICS” workshop on 15 May 2019, duringPetersburg International Legal Forum, Stats-Secretary, Deputy Head of FAS Andrey Tsarikovskiy, described the progress in drafting a report on BRICS digital economy, which soon will be submitted for general discussion.

The workshop was organized with support of BRICS Antimonopoly Centre, the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation and St Petersburg State University.

Andrey Tsarikovskiy thanked everybody who had been involved in its drafting and pointed out that “it will be a unique document created in close cooperation with academic and government officials”.

“Bureaucrats easily bypass “bumps” but frequently do not notice where are they going while scholars know where to go but stumble at each “bump” so such cooperation is important for us”, added Deputy Head of FAS.
