In 2017, the Antimonopoly Service carried out unscheduled inspections of “Sangfei CEC Electronics Rus” Ltd.

Having analyzed the obtained information, FAS revealed elements of violating Part 5 Article 11 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” by “Sangfei CEC Electronics Rus” Ltd. The company coordinated economic operations of Philips resellers that resulted in fixing and maintaining prices for some smartphones.

In eh past several years FAS has repeatedly exposed violations of the antimonopoly law on the markets of selling smartphones. Cases against Apple, LG, Samsung are some examples. These cases showed that unlawful coordination of economic operations is widespread on retail markets of household appliances”, said Stats-secretary, Deputy Head of FAS Andrey Tsarikovskiy. The Antimonopoly Service exercises systematic control over compliance with the antimonopoly law in these markets”.
