PROGRAMME OF THE VI BRICS COMPETITION CONFERENCE IS READY
The agenda includes global aspects of developing competition law in different jurisdictions, particular, associated with intensive immersion into the digital as well as development of public procurement systems, approximating antimonopoly regulation of mergers, etc.
Preparation to the VI BRICS Competition Conference in Moscow (16 - 19 September 2019) is in full swing.
The Conference Programme is practically ready; it has been devised together by all competition authorities of BRICS economies. Most candidatures for speakers and moderators of the Conference sessions are chosen; the text of the Joint Communiqué of Head of BRICS competition authorities, which is traditionally signed as an outcome of BRICS Conferences, is drafted and coordinated.
The business programme of 2019 Conference includes three plenary sessions, four parallel sessions, and meetings of BRICS Working Groups. The agenda extends to global aspects of developing competition law in different jurisdictions, particularly, related to intensive immersion into digital, as well as some narrower issues of developing the public procurement system, approximation of antimonopoly regulation practice in merger analysis, and much more.
More than 400 attendees plan to take part in 2019 Conference. Heads of the competition authorities of all BRICS economics, Belarus, Austria, Italy, Serbia, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Greece, the Seychelles, as well as representatives of antimonopoly regulators from Egypt, the USA, Japan, OECD, UNCTAD, the International Bar Association, reporters from Global Competition Review, the leading scholars and experts in antimonopoly enforcement have already confirmed their personal participation and registered on the official web-site of the Conference.
