VITALY KOROLEV: PENZA REGION MOVED 28 POINTS UP IN FAS COMPETITION DEVELOPMENT RANKING
The Antimonopoly Service and the Government of the Penza region outlined the collaboration plan for the future period
Deputy Head of FAS Vitaly Korolev held a working meeting with Governor of the Penza region, Ivan Belozerov, and a meeting at the regional Government on implementing the National Competition Development Plan and relevant Road Maps under the frame of the revised Competition Development Standard.
“Since signing an Agreement with FAS last year, the Penza region has done considerable work. The state of competition is improved considerably, we do this work together. The first results of our efforts are already noticeable: the number of state and municipal unitary enterprises goes down, achievement of the targets set in the National Competition Development Plan is improving, and more and more private participants enter regional competitive markets. All this enables to confidently talk about efficient work of the regional authorities in this direction”, informed Vitaly Korolev.
The Penza region also has introduced a system of warnings against violations of the antimonopoly law in all regional executive bodies.
“The results of this work is already noticeable – last year the number of violations of the antimonopoly law by the authorities in the Penza region decreased by 29%”, added Deputy Head of FAS.
Vitaly Korolev also positively assessed the Action Plan of the Penza region for reorganizing unitary enterprises.
Deputy Head of FAS acknowledged the contribution of the Governor of the Penza region in efficient collaboration between regional authorities and Penza OFAS, particularly, preventing violations of the antimonopoly law in the region.
