COMPETITION DEVELOPMENT ROAD MAP IS BEING DRAFTED IN KUZBASS
On 24 July, in Kemerovo, Deputy Head of FAS Alexander Redko and Governor of the Kemerovo region Sergey Tsivilev discussed intermediary results of pursing the National Competition Development Plan
In 2018, Kemerovo regional authority and FAS concluded an Agreement on Cooperation.
“The main objectives of the National Plan include reduction of antimonopoly violations by the authorities at least twofold, increased share of small and medium business in public procurement and present of at least three entities, of which at least one must be private, in all sectors of the economy”, pointed out Alexander Redko. “These goals can be achieved only in collaboration between the antimonopoly bodies and regional authorities”.
Sergey Tsivilevexplained that pricing efforts in the Kemerovo region are undertaken systemically and in close cooperation with the federal authorities of the Russian Federation.
The Government of the Kemerovo region jointly with NGOs, municipalities, the business community is devising theCompetition Development Road Map. These measures will intensify competition on the markets, reduce the costs of goods, works and services, decrease administrative barriers for small business, enhance transparency and opened of procurement and competitive bidding, particular, in the course of implementing the National projects.
Kuzbass has determined a list of 33 markets and the key targets that has passed public hearings and is approved by the Competition Development Council.
The parties also discussed interaction in pricing on the transport sector.
