FAS EVALUATED COMPETITION ON THE MARKET OF SOLID-ROLLED WHEELS IN 2016 – 2018

The Antimonopoly Service analyzed the market of solid-rolled railway wheels in 2016 – 2018 as part of investigating No. 1-00-158/00-05-18 case on a suspected violation of the antimonopoly law by “VMZ” JSC, “EVRAZ NTMK” OJSC and “EvrazHolding” Trading Company” Ltd.

The antimonopoly case has opened upon multiple materials in mass media regarding the trends on the market of spare parts of freight wagons, including solid-rolled railway wheels, 957 mm diameter.

The main players on the markets of solid-rolled railway wheels, 957 mm diameter, in Russia are such manufacturers as “EVRAZ NTMK” OJSC and“VMZ” JSC, as well as “INTERPIPE NTZ” PJSC, which imports goods into Russia. “VMZ” JSC controls the biggest market share (more than 50%).
