“AMI-NETWORK” PAID 74 MILLIONS FOR A CARTEL
“Ami-Network” transferred a fine, imposed for a cartel at an auction of an entity subordinate to the Central Elections Commission, to the federal budget
In August 2017, FAS found that “AMI-NETWORK” Ltd. and “Business Computers Group” Ltd., as well as group of persons of “Aquarius Production Company” Ltd. and the “National Computer Corporation” Ltd. entered into an anticompetitive agreement that had resulted in maintaining prices at an electronic auction for supplying system blocks for automation solution complexes of regional fragments of the “Vybory [Elections]” State Automated System for the needs of the “Federal Information Support Centre at the Central Elections Commission of the Russian Federation”.
At the time of publication, the total amount of fines transferred to the federal budget for the anticompetitive agreement on computer equipment supplies for the needs of the “Federal Information Support Centre at the Central Elections Commission exceeds 129 million RUB.
Under Part 1 Article 20.25 of the Code on Administrative Violations, failure to pay an administrative fine within the deadline can double the fine.
