DMITRY VASILIEV: CRIMEA AND SEBASTOPOL MUST DRAFT A ROAD MAP
On 18 October, Head of FAS Department for Regulating the Electric Power Industry, Dmitry Vasiliev took part in the Round Table of the Energy Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, in “Energy Security of the Republic of Crimea, the Prospects for Developing the Energy Industry in the Republic of Crimea”
Head of Crimea, Sergey Aksenov, members of the State Duma, representatives of federal and regional authorities as well as energy companies attended the Round Table.
The focus of the discussion was the state of the infrastructure complex in the region and the prospects for developing the energy industry in Crimea.
Dmitry Vasiliev said: “A lot has been done recently to increase energy security in the peninsula. It is necessary to complete the measures that are already planned and prepare a long-term investment programme for developing the infrastructure in Crimea and Sebastopol, tying it up with balanced tariff decisions”.
“Based on the outcome of the Round Table, recommendations and proposals will be drafted in the part of improving tariff regulation and antimonopoly control of the energy sector in particular regions”, pointed out Head of FAS Department for Regulating the Electric Power Industry.
