SAMSUNG SUBSIDUARY PAID A 2.5 MILLION FINE

The fine was imposed upon investigating a case on reseller coordination

 

“Samsung Electronics Rus Company” Ltd. is found guilty of unlawful coordination of economic operations of Samsung smartphone and tablet resellers, which resulted in fixing and maintaining prices for smartphones and tablets in retail outlets (Part 5 Article 11 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”).

 

In the course of the investigation, the company stopped coordinating economic operations and assisted FAS Commission, which was taken into account when imposing fine.
