ANDREY TENISHEV AND MUKHAMED KHAMUKOV PUBLISHED A NEW PAPER

The February issue of the “Law” Journal published a paper of Head and Deputy Head of FAS Anti-Cartel Department, Andrey Tenishev and Mukhamed Khamukov “New anti-cartel package: protecting social interests or myths about pressure of business”. All materials of the February issue concern the antimonopoly law.

The paper analyses the cartel impact upon national social-and-economic development and wellbeing of the population. Examples of exposed large-scale cartels are given. The authors reach a conclusion that economic collusions have an extremely adverse effect upon the wellbeing of the society, which requires adequate and efficient measures from the government. The paper outlines the rationale of FAS-drafted legislative initiatives to counter cartels in the modern conditions.
