FAS DISCUSSED HOW TO WORK WITH RETAIL CHAINS UNDER PANIC DEMAND

There is no shortage of consumer products; the situation is monitored on a daily basis, while retail chains do everything possible to satisfy the excess demand.

 

On 19 March 2020, Stats-Secretary, Deputy Head of FAS Andrey Tsarikovsky, First Deputy Head of Moscow Trade and Services Department – Head of Contractual Service Ivan Zubtsov, and Head of Moscow OFAS Ekaterina Solovyova held talks with representatives of retail chains and producer associations at Moscow OFAS.

 

The parties emphasized that it is essential not to increase prices, ensure an optimal supply volumes and not to succumb to panic, as there are not actual grounds for it.

 

Business at the meeting was represented by X5 Retail Group, Zelgros, Azbuka Vkusa, Metro, DA!, Bahetle, Russian Sugar Producers Union, Miratorg and Bill.
