FAS EXTENDED THE DEADLINE FOR THE RUSSIAN MINISTRY OF HEALTHCARE TO EXECUTE A WARNING
The Ministry must eliminate elements of restricting competition among manufacturers of air disinfecting devices till 01 July 2020
The Federal Antimonopoly Service received a petition from the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation to extend the deadline for executing the warning.
Earlier, FAS exposed 39 ministerial orders that had approved the standards for equipping medical facilities and, in particular, instructing to use only devices with ultraviolet bactericide irradiation to disinfect air.
Maxim Degtyaryov, Deputy Head of FAS Department for Control over Social Sphere and Trade, commented: “Having considered a ministerial petition, the Antimonopoly Service assessed the actions that the Russian Ministry of Healthcare had begun to undertake in order to eliminate competition restrictions, found them reasoned and allowed the petition1”.
By 01 July 2020, the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation must adjust 39 procedures for providing medical care, thus, giving equal conditions for all manufacturers of air disinfecting devices to do business.
