FAS: MERCURY CLASSIC HAS BEEN FINED FOR NOT PROVIDING INFORMATION

The company is being checked in connection with possible participation in an anti-competitive agreement

During an unscheduled on-site inspection of LLC “Mercury classic” (Mercury group of companies) on suspicion of violating Part 1 of Article 11 of the Law on Protection of Competition, the company was sent an information request.

Due to its non-submission, the FAS Russia initiated an administrative violation case*. The company was fined 100,000 rubles.

“The legislative amendments that strengthen the responsibility for cartel, including the introduction of a special turnover fine for preventing inspections conducted by the antimonopoly authority”, said Andrey Tenishev, Head of the Anti - Cartel Department of the FAS Russia.
