THE FAS RUSSIA HAS APPROVED THE ANTIMONOPOLY COMPLIANCE OF AB INBEV EFES JSB

AB InBev Efes JSC was the first participant in the alcohol industry in accordance with the Law “On Protection of Competition”* to send a draft document to the FAS Russia to verify its compliance with the requirements of the antimonopoly legislation

The Federal Antimonopoly Service has approved the Policy on Compliance with the Antimonopoly Legislation (antimonopoly compliance) of AB InBev Efes JSC. The Authority also provided the company with practical recommendations for improving the system of internal ensuring compliance with the antimonopoly legislation.

The adoption of internal acts regulating compliance with the antimonopoly legislation by key participants in the alcohol markets can generally have a positive impact on the development of competition.

“Antimonopoly compliance is an effective tool to reduce antimonopoly risks for business entities, especially those with significant market power,” said Vladimir Mishelovin, Head of the Fiscal Control Department of the FAS Russia.
