REPRESENTATIVES OF THE FAS RUSSIA TAKE PART IN THE INTERNATIONAL BRICS MUNICIPAL FORUM

The IMF BRICS is a global platform focused on enhancing cooperation of officials, politicians, business and academic representatives, corporate leaders and public experts of BRICS states on the municipal and regional level.

The key mission of the project is to be a practical tool for the development of the territories of BRICS municipalities by merging business contacts, combining efforts of international business to attract investment, as well as interaction and exchange of experience, contributing to the formation of a meaningful and constructive agenda for a broad multidisciplinary partnership, that is aimed at achieving sustainable development.

The Forum program is dedicated to discussing key issues in the field of economic development, trade, diversification of investments and the development of the BRICS investment policy, construction and modernization of urban infrastructure, digitalization and innovative technologies, agriculture, ecology, tourism, culture and education, sports, humanitarian cooperation and social design.

In 2020, a separate issue on the agenda of the IMF BRICS will be dedicated to the discussion of issues of protection of competition and the development of antimonopoly law enforcement in the regions of the BRICS countries.

The Forum’s agenda includes the session on the topic "Antimonopoly regulation and control as instruments for improving the investment climate in municipalities and regions of the BRICS countries", the participants of which will be the representatives of the Moscow and St. Petersburg Regional Offices of the FAS Russia.
