FAS PREPARED EXPLANATIONS OF LEGISLATION ON FOREIGN INVESTMENT

Document is based on a compilation of the practice of applying Federal Law No. 57-FZ

On September 3, 2020, the FAS Russia held a meeting of the Methodological Council. The experts reviewed the draft explanations prepared by the Agency based on the results of studying and summarizing the practice of applying legislation on the procedure for foreign investment in the Russian Federation.

“The FAS Russia regularly prepares explanations of legislation, including in the field of foreign investment. This work is aimed at developing a uniform approach to the application of Federal Law No. 57 and preventing its violations.

Practice shows that not all legal norms can be equally understood by participants in the process. Therefore, the FAS Russia, as the body authorized to perform the functions of monitoring the implementation of foreign investments in the Russian Federation, has prepared explanations that will help applicants and the professional legal community to come to a common understanding of legal norms,” the Chairman of the Methodological Council, Deputy Head of the FAS Russia Andrey Tsyganov explained.
