THE FAS SEES NO REASON TO INCREASE TARIFFS FOR COMMUNICATION SERVICES BY 15% IN 2021

Since March 2020, the Antimonopoly Service has been conducting weekly monitoring of the load on communication networks, measures taken to increase the capacity of networks and prices (tariffs) for communication services in order to prevent, suppress economically unjustified price increases. In case of their economically unjustified increase, the FAS Russia takes the necessary antimonopoly response measures provided for by the Law on Protection of Competition.

According to the results of the monitoring carried out by the authority, as of January 2021, the FAS Russia found no reasons for an increase in tariffs for communication services by 15% in 2021. As for the increase in prices for relevant services in January 2020, the FAS Russia analyzed the economic feasibility of this increase. The analysis showed that there were no reasons for an increase in tariffs for communication services.

The Antimonopoly Service continues to monitor the situation on the communications services market.
